In Celebration of The Pudding
July 14 - October 14
100 years of The Magic Pudding by Norman Lindsay.
Norman was born in Creswick, one of 10 children of Robert & Jane Lindsay. At 16 years he left Creswick to work with his brother Lionel in Melbourne. In 1918, as a result of a bet with a friend, he published his book for children.
Since then the book has never been out of print. To mark the occasion, the museum is holding an exhibition in celebration of Albert and his friends for children.
In addition, the Lindsay Room is featuring Norman’s artworks, and upstairs Michael Salmon’s works.
A Children’s Festival is on from Friday, 28th September to Sunday 30th September, 2018.
