Central Springs Mineral Reserve

Take the short stroll from Lake Daylesford, along the spillway and you will find the picturesque Central Springs Reserve.

A a grassy reserve alongside the creek, with three mineral water pumps and a free flowing spring. This is a great place for a shady picnic on a warm summer’s day and a good point to set off on a walk exploring the Goldfields Track.

Daylesford Community Park & Skate Park

Run, jump and explore. Located centrally in Daylesford, the Community Park is home to a natural play space, playground, accessible play equipment, community garden and skate park.

There is something to keep everyone happy.

This park has a shade sail over parts of the playground, free electric BBQ's and public toilets, so spend an hour or a day exploring this park.

Jubilee Lake

Just minutes drive from the town centre of Daylesford; Jubilee Lake is a quiet and relaxing place to visit.

There are a range of activities for all including; BBQ facilities, walking trails, a mineral water spring, canoe and paddle boat hire, a playground, caravan park and kiosk. Originally known as ‘Hepburn Goldfields Reservoir’, Jubilee Lake was built to supply water to the local gold mines during the 1860’s gold rush. Now a premier, family friendly fishing location stocked regularly with rainbow trout, Jubilee Lake is a must do whilst in the area.

Walk the lake circuit and stop at the mineral spring to refresh with some of this areas famous mineral water. You can link up with the Goldfields Trail from Jubilee Lake and walk into Daylesford. Visit in autumn and experience the changing colours of the trees surrounding Jubilee Lake.

Peace Mile Walk – Lake Daylesford – 2.8 km’s | 40 minute loop

Take in the sights of Lake Daylesford by taking the ‘Peace Mile’ walk around the perimeter of the lake.

This is a gentle loop walk along a well maintained path and boardwalk, with beautiful views across the lake. You will finish your walk with a feeling of peace and serenity.

Feeling like something longer? Follow the trail down to Central Springs Reserve and continue along the Goldfields Track which leads to Hepburn Springs or Sailors Falls.

‘The Cottage’ Public Art

"Cottage" was completed in 2015 at Lake Daylesford by local, Glenlyon artist, Jason Waterhouse.

The artwork is made of decorative, hand-wrought iron inspired by patterns that can be seen around the town of Daylesford. "Cottage" draws on the architecture of miner's cottages during the gold rush era. It seeks to remind us of the historical foundations of modern Daylesford.

Take the short stroll from Lake Daylesford, past Central Springs Mineral Reserve to discover this hidden gem.
