Mount Beckworth Scenic Reserve

A lone pine tree stands as a sentinel crowning this picturesque granite outcrop, a sanctuary for native plants and animals. Mount Beckworth Scenic Reserve offers magnificent views and a rich variety of spring wildflowers.

The best way to enjoy the park is on foot. A network of tracks links all major features within the reserve. A walk to the summit is rewarded with breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. Other activities that can be enjoyed in the park are camping, picnicking, horse riding and mountain biking.

Many tracks within the park are in poor condition following heavy rainfall early in 2017. Visitors are urged to use caution and drive carefully. Access to Cork Oaks Road between The Dam and Cork Oaks Visitor areas is now only suitable for 4WD vehicles with good body clearance.

Mount Beckworth Scenic Reserve is 8 km west of Clunes and 35 km north of Ballarat.
Camping is allowed for short stays at Cork Oaks Picnic Area, The Dam Picnic Area and Manna Gums Picnic Area. No booking required and no fees apply.
Dogs must be controlled on a leash at all times. Please clean up after your dog.
