Originally built in 1884 by Giacomo Satori to serve the local Swiss-Italian community, the Yandoit Church has been thoughtfully restored into an award-winning country escape, just 15 minutes from Daylesford and 20 from Castlemaine.

The soaring church nave forms the heart of the home, retaining original hand-painted friezes, Gothic windows and a vast vaulted ceiling. A Lopi wood heater warms the open-plan living area, complemented by a curved OLED smart television for cosy nights in. The designer kitchen, complete with reverse-cycle air-conditioning, features sweeping farmland views to Mt Franklin.

A contemporary two-storey extension houses three bedrooms, including a master suite with a stone bath and picturesque rural outlook. Bespoke artworks, textiles and ceramics throughout the property enhance its unique character.

A floating timber and steel staircase leads to two upstairs bedrooms and a central bathroom. Double-glazed windows frame farmland and bush views from every room, while built-in robes, reverse-cycle air-conditioning and ceiling fans ensure year-round comfort.

A generous deck connects the living spaces with the bedroom wing, offering plenty of entertaining space and a triple grill gas barbecue. Guests can relax in deck chairs on the terrace or scattered throughout the half-acre garden.

Blending heritage charm with contemporary comfort, the Yandoit Church offers an unforgettable retreat for couples, families, or friends seeking a memorable country getaway.
