Just a few minutes from the lively heart of Trentham Spudfest, Little Hampton Farm opens its gates for Discovery Day—a calm, immersive experience that invites visitors to step away from the festival bustle and into the quiet beauty of a working sustainable farm. Discovery Day is designed for families, gardeners, food lovers, and anyone curious about how good food begins in the soil. From the moment you arrive, the farm's gentle rhythm sets the tone. Two guided tours offer a deeper look into the farm's sustainable practices. Led by Narelle and Simon these tours trace the journey from soil to harvest, highlighting how the farm from a blank canvas to a thriving orchard and market garden has evolved over the years. You will learn how soil health influences flavour, how biodiversity strengthens resilience, and how thoughtful land stewardship can shape the future of farming in the central highlands. Along the way, you will hear about about the natural cycles of the farm and how the property has evolved into a living example of sustainable agriculture whilst working alongside a changing climate. In true Spudfest spirit, Discovery Day also celebrates the flavours of the region. This year, visitors can pre‑book a delicious pizza, made fresh on the farm and topped with seasonal produce grown just metres from the oven.
