The Great Trentham Spudfest returns in 2026, celebrating community, local produce and regional pride in the heart of Victoria's spa country. Now in its 19th year, the much-loved festival draws more than 10,000 visitors to the historic town of Trentham, where rich red volcanic soils have been producing exceptional potatoes since the 1860s.

A festival highlight, the Spudfest Cèilidh (pronounced 'kay-lee') returns for its third year, delivering a lively evening of music, dancing and connection. Inspired by Scottish and Irish traditions, this high-energy bush dance honours Trentham's proud potato-growing heritage while bringing people together for a night of shared celebration.

A live folk band will fill the hall with spirited jigs, reels and waltzes, setting the scene for an unforgettable night on the dance floor. New to ceilidh dancing? An experienced caller will guide each step, making it easy to join in the fun. Expect group dances, plenty of laughter and the joy of sharing the dance floor with friends and soon-to-be friends.

Suitable for all ages, the Spudfest Cèilidh is perfect for enthusiastic dancers and keen spectators alike. Don't miss this vibrant celebration of music, heritage and community at the Great Trentham Spudfest.
