The friendly community surrounded by beautiful forest areas, ideal for walking. Great food to be enjoyed with friends and family. Four seasons, even the cold winters which are alleviated by open fires.

At heart a small country town, Daylesford has a food scene to rival any large city. From cheap eats and casual dining, to indulgent feasts and fine dining, you will find it all in Daylesford. Stop by a farm gate or deli and collect some yummy local cheeses, pickles, breads and small goods and fill a hamper to enjoy at one of the many picturesque picnic spots to be discovered throughout the town. Daylesford is a town that takes its coffee seriously and a quick stop or lingering mug will reward you with an expertly made cup to keep you going through your day of exploring. Taste your way through the town with a cup of cold drip along Vincent St, a single origin flat white by the fire or a latte by the lake.

While exploring Daylesford and surrounds, you will be rewarded with meeting the makers, growers and passionate people that create this foodie paradise.

Make time to drive out of the main town and visit a winery where you can indulge in tasting locally made wine, chat to the wine maker and then sit down to a locally grown feast. The locally made produce is not limited to the grape variety. You will find cider makers, organic vegetable farmers, distillers and more. You can even learn how to make your own in a master class or workshop.
